SEA STREET- VELLUM CHALLENGE

We are working with VELLUM for this week's challenge at
The Octopus is stamped with Stazon Black on the Vellum sheet. It dries quickly. I stamped the Starfish, Crab & Lobster on the back side of the Vellum to give them the under the water appearance.  A few more under water creatures were stamped on Whisper White and then fussy cut to add to the front.

Have you ever brayered ink on to your Embossing Folders?  Try this technique and join us at THE PAPER PLUNGE for ideas from the other team members and add your's to inspire us!

Here are some tips and images to my technique tutorial.

Stamp- Hardwood
Ink- Early Espresso
Card Stock- Crumb Cake

Brayer- Early Espresso onto the Embossing Folder, covering the "negative image". These folders rinse the ink off wonderfully.

Place Stamped image inside folder and emboss using the Big Shot.

Technique Tip #2-  Stamp Toy Block image on several different colors of  Card Stock using Early Espresso.  Cut out images and layer them and raise some of them on Stampin' Dimensionals

THINKING OF YOU!

Yes it's true! I've been thinking of you!  December was a month of few blog posts!  I am back from vacation, and just had my sis & family here for a few days.  They are easy guests to have stay!  We played with some of my past Paper Pumpkin kits and tried some new techniques that she had been wanting to do- I will share them with you another time!

Today's post is getting back into the swing of things- literally & figuratively!  I am happy to dip right into the next design challenge at THE PAPER PLUNGE.  They post every Friday with new ideas and we would love for you to join us with your projects!  This week's theme is USE A DIE CUT ELEMENT.  I chose the Labels Collection Framelits.  There are a total of 5 labels cut for this card. I used the 4 sizes from the smallest & next three larger.

It's a Trifold card and the two sides intertwine to make the closure.

Each side has framelits and they nest together in the center when closed.
